About the Project
At the pulsating heart of Chicago’s Evilolive nightclub, I captured the electrifying atmosphere of Norwegian EDM producer Savant’s live DJ set. Working from within the DJ booth and roaming the dance floor, my photography focused on utilizing advanced flash and exposure techniques to enhance the surreal, kinetic energy of the night. Through deliberate plays on lighting and motion blur, each image vibrantly conveys the rhythm and intensity of the music, blurring lines and colors to mirror the dynamic beats. The resulting photographs not only encapsulate the essence of Savant’s performance but also the immersive, ecstatic experience of the audience, encapsulating a night of auditory and visual intoxication.
